Los Angeles

That Go Country station is going to change formats soon I bet...their ratings are dropping like a rock, and speaking of rock, their new consultant Jeff Pollack is a rock guy.

Someone else needs to "Go" Country in LA.

I don't doubt that a format change is in their near future. That ship is sinking fast - and I don't get it, because they were doing SO well before all of these changes started happening. I sure hope another Country station pops up in that market - one that is okay with artist visits and taking music calls.

Things keep getting weirder over there. It's sad to see what was such a great station change the focus.

Jay Coffey has been named KGGO's new morning show host. Has he ever done Country before? If not, hope he can adapt quickly.

If Clear Channel or CBS went Country in LA, and put resources into it, like a real staff and PD, it would be over for Go Country in 2 books.

Have a good weekend people

He has an oldies background from what I have seen. They are all about the oldies there now!
I don't think Joni is full of baloney this time!

I am still convinced that they won't be a Country station for much longer. I'm with Joni - I wish another company would start a new Country station in that market and blow KKGO out of the water, show that old man who runs that station how it's really done.

Jay Coffey is already gone from Go Country. He's telling LARadio.com he wasn't given a reason why he was dismissed and Saul says KKGO doesn't discuss personal matters.

That really sucks about Jay Coffey. But to be honest, he's probably better off not being there, seeing as KKGO is going down the drain in no time. I hope he lands on his feet soon. He deserves to be treated better than that!
