I am looking for a gig with more than 10 years experience, and both medium and major market experience. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to get back in the biz. #never should have got out!

Same here I have more than ten years in the game and can't get a yes if I payed for it!
All I need is a shot to show how I have a special connection to community,current music and most of all, like my man said "a true love for radio"! good luck fellas..

First of all I must say that I love this site!!
However, I have been trying to get back into my true calling and that's Radio Broadcast!!
Now I will be first to admit that I have made some mistakes in the past (HAVEN'T we ALL?)

The point I need to stress is that we all deserve a second chance or third or fourth!! 8-)
I have had my hands on; and direct input of the so-called old school radio technique, as we as the new way radio works! All I am saying is If I was to be hired the lessons and bad habits of the past no longer follow me around! All I would love to do is be at a company who I can trust ,and that rusts me to continue to learn and do my job to the best of my abilities.
In conclusion; If you are a programmer that needs a true talent that knows and loves Radio I am your guy. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thank you and I look forward to any reply;

Honestly these days, the game has changed. Your expereince, talent, drive and love of the industry seem to be a distant second to how many followers you have on social media, how many hits your blog gets and how much time and effort your willing to put into your youtube channel and instagram. If you are not on top of your social media and self promotion game...they aren't biting. They don't want just you...they want all your followers, friends, likes, retweets, fans and hits as well, so you better have a lot of them to bring to the booth.

I always thought that what goes out over the air is your product. I guess today's programmers think that social media will raise your numbers. get more listeners. I don't agree with that theory. And so I'm out of work.
