A familiar station here in St. Louis is reformatting slightly, and it is KEZK Soft Rock 102.5 changing into Fresh 102.5 FM.
CBS RADIO AC KEZK (SOFT ROCK 102.5)/ST. LOUIS will rebrand as "FRESH 102.5" after its current CHRISTMAS stunting is over. The rebranding will take effect on DECEMBER 27th at 5a (CT).

CBS RADIO ST. LOUIS SVP and Market Manager JOHN SHEEHAN said, “The KEZK call letters have always been synonymous with Adult Contemporary radio in ST. LOUIS. That will never change. The evolution to FRESH 102.5 allows us to contemporize the radio station to match the expectations of our core listeners.”

The station is now looking for a new morning show, with ED GOODMAN not in the post-FRESH lineup.

Morning show will likely be taken by Phillips and Company, who are currently on Y98. Delilah and John Tesh both will still be on the lineup, so it will not be a full-blown reformatting. Its music in the past year has become more of a gold/recurrent-based AC with more currents played. Y98 has rapidly become a CHR/HAC hybrid in the past year, playing the likes of Ke$ha, Jason DeRulo, Taio Cruz-- of these would NOT have been spun back in 2008, along with the usual HAC artists, such as P!nk, Katy Perry, Daughtry, Maroon 5, Goo Goo Dolls, etc.

About a year ago, Stel Pontikes's The Answer Radio Show was relocated from its longtime home KYKY to KEZK for about 9 months, then cancelled. That and WSDD's arrival, plus KPNT being an almost full-time Active Rock-leaning Alt, was the precursor to the realigning the 2 CBS FM stations music.
